Feeding the Reproductively Active Horse and Creep Feeding Foals

When considering the nutritional needs of the reproductively active horse, a good quality hay is a great start.  It certainly meets the basic feed requirements for a horse, and along with fresh water and a regular de-worming schedule, can keep a horse looking and feeling pretty healthy.  I like to try and acquire both alfalfa and high quality grass hay and alternate feedings.  This makes for a great nutritionally balanced diet, and most horses will do quite well on this ration.
